I decided to post more than one quote a day for the first few days to get this place goin.
You can safely assume you've created God in your own image when it turns out that God hates all the same people you do.
(Taken from The Best Liberal Quotes Ever, compiled by William Martin.
God is just another story that we tell...
*sigh* such a good song. gets me every.single.time.
and i dont mean heaven, as in god-like
cuz the animal i am knows very well...
isnt that what religion is anyway?
a bunch of people coming together and saying, "you know, i think this
... and i'm pretty sure god agrees with me."
I always saw God as the next in line after the Easter Bunny, Santa Claus and the Tooth Fairy.. still waiting for my parents to tell me he's fake, but they havent yet ;)
lol. yes! my belief "system" is somewhere between agnostism and atheism, so i don't personally relate to this quote on a belief basis. but i think it does speak for those whose self-righteousness wants to deny basic rights to anyone they and their god think are evil.
i believe this quote very accurately depicts how and why some voted in the election.
yeah, i think for some the distinction between god and religion is an important one. but i def agree with you.
i'm on the fence about god, but i definitely, unequivocably, do not believe in religion.
although i consider myself a spiritual person, and i do believe in god, i do not however agree with any organized religion. i could go on and on with why and how ive come to that seperation in my own mind, but for me, my belief and faith is completely seperate from any label or affiliation, if that makes any sense what so ever
no, it makes sense.
like i said to la, i dont know if i believe in god, a higher power, whatever.
but i most definitely do not believe in organized religion.
p.s. i love your icon!
